Help in PrePaid registration. (English)

Hey guys. 

I’ve moved over from England a couple of weeks ago and I've purchased my first german pre paid sim card (an O2 sim card from the local Kaufland). So, Whenever I try to activate the card I get an error message saying that my address isnt good. “Unfortunately, the address provided was not recognized. Please re-enter it.” 
It is a local address, when I put in the post code the city and street comes up without a problem. 

I’ve tried it on my mobile and pc. 

Can someone please help me ?

have you managed to enter the Adress?

Is it maybe a case of missing Letters or “Straße” instead of “Str.”?

Are we talking about a o2 Prepaid or Kaufland Mobile card?

It is a local address, when I put in the post code the city and street comes up without a problem. 

 

Did you click directly on the suggestion and selected it?

Hi Kurt,

Thanks for coming back to me. It is the o2 Prepaid card. So, I´ve managed to go around the problem by giving my friends address. It worked, I went through online verification, set up my tariff ( the plan that costs 19.99 a month with 12gb data ), I´ve also set up the automatic renewal, but after two days my card stop working. The phone doesnt recognise it anymore. I´ve swapped it multiple times with my english number just to be sure, but nothing. Can someone look into this, please? I´ve got no signal and my phone says that has no sim in it. The card was not damaged, it just stopped working today around 13:20. I can provide all the details in PM

just to make sure I got you right: you put in your english SIM card in your phone and it works but if you put the prepaid SIM in another phone it fails?

Well, sort of. I wanted to make it simple. I own a dual sim device, therefore I can use both sim cards in the same time. It worked just fine until around 13:20 today. I swapped the cards, made a couple restarts just to be sure, but nothing worked. In the settings, the sim info that has the O2 card is grayed out as well.

I'm not sure whether anyone gets a notification from my previous post since I've marked it as resolved.

 

So basically my pre paid sim stopped working yesterday around 13:20. I swapped the cards around in my multi sim device, restarted couple of times, but nothing seems to work. In settings the o2 card slot is grayed out as well. 

 

I can provide all the necessary details in pm.

if the phone is not regocnizing the SIM; not even asking for a PIN, we’ll sure need to swap the SIM

You haven’t been able to register your number for “Mein o2” in the short lifespan of the SIM, correct?

In this case, let’s switch to personal messages in order to exchange the data necessary for the SIM-Swap.
