Contract termination (Forever)


I wrote a mail to one of the agents requesting contract termination, but he sent me a form titled “Vertragsstilllegung” which is only for pausing contract temporarily (12 months Max). However, I am looking for a termination document since I have already left Germany for good. Also, I am very furious that I did not sign up for an automatic extension and O2 extended my contract without my permission. Please help me with the termination and hopefully some refunds thanks! (I haven’t been using this number for two years and they charged me 35 euros per month)

Dear @elehun17 ,

there is no need für a authoriziation of automatic contract extensions. It is defined by the terms of the contract.

You can use this Kündigung wegen Umzug ins Ausland, but because you are in the automatic one-month contract extension, you can also easily terminate the contract (preferably in writing or by fax) at the earliest possible date.

Automatic extension is automatic because you don't have to sign up for it! You gave your 'permission' when you concluded the contract.

Send a letter to o2 terminating the contract. Enclose a copy of your Abmeldung from Germany and proof of permanent residence in a different country. Early termination costs three months' basic fee.

I am confused because I did not authorize O2 for automatic extension.

Also I do not have a abmeldung proof, can I provide anything else for sub? Thanks
