My current contract which is the O2 free L boost is coming to an end in October. Instead of picking another 24 month contract, I would like to switch to the Flex tarrifs for i might not be in Germany for another 24 months. However, when trying to change tarrifs, I have not seen an offer for the flex tarrifs. Could you please assist me to switch to the Flex Tarrifs, in particular to the L with 120GB.

It is not possible to switch from a fixed term contract to a Flex contract. However, if you leave Germany permanently, you should be able to terminate your contract at that point.

Yes. You would have to pay the amount due for 3 months of your tarrif (this 'penalty' is based on the statutory rule for DSL contracts, though for mobile contracts the early termination is a good will gesture).

You can buy a mobile phone at any time but you can only get a hardware discount if it is purchased at the same time as concluding the mobile contract.
