Dear O2 team,

It’s been a while since I check on my O2-registered email address. Unfortunately, I am now totally forgot the password to those email. I have tried to recovered it, but has not been successful.  Is there any suggestion to deal with this problem, for example to change my O2-registered email address to the new one that I have now?.

P.S. I still have the access to ‘meine O2’ account.

Which e-mail-address would you like to change? 

  • If you miss the password for “Mein o2”, please use this link: Mein o2 log-in
  • Or would you like to change the e-mail-address in the personal details of “Mein o2”? 
  • Or do you mean your e-mail-address for our community here?

I was referring to the e-mail-address in the personal details of “Mein o2”. So I still have the access to “Mein o2” including the password, but I  noticed that some notifications have been sent to the email in the personal detail of “Mein o2”. Is it possible to change it to the email-address for this community here, or it should be another email-address?

According to your wish, I have just changed the e-mail-address in the personal details of “Mein o2”. The e-mail-address is now the same as here in the community.

 

I have sent an e-mail with a verfication-link to you. Just press on the link to confirm your e-mail-address. 

 

Would you like to get your bills also to this e-mail-address?

Thank you for following up my request. I have received your email verification and press on the link to confirm your e-mail-address. However, I got the message:

“Hinweis

Der E-Mail Bestätigungs-Link ist ungültig:

Fordern Sie bitte einen neuen Bestätigungs-Link in Ihrem "Mein O2" Kundenkonto an.”

Is there something wrong?

 

I have also check the personal detail in "Mein O2", the email address already changed as your mentioned above.

My apology, I just found out that there were three similar verification emails I have received. They were just minutes apart. I just tried the last one, and it is verified now. Thank you. Please also the bills of my phone to this new email.

Additionally, I have tried to re-login to “Mein O2” and check if there any change, other the email address in the personal details. I noticed a note that exist before the email change, still there. It state that:

“E-Mail Bestätigung abschließen:

Wir haben Ihnen eine E-Mail mit einem Bestätigungs-Link zugesendet. Bitte prüfen Sie Ihren E-Mail Posteingang.”

I am guessing that it is referring to some notification or verification that have been sent to my ‘lost email’, isn’t it?. Should We do something about it?

According to your wish, I just have ordered the new e-mail-address for the notification of your bills. So, in the future, you will get a notification of your next bill by e-mail on the e-mail-address we just have changed together. 

 

Concerning the statement “E-Mail Bestätigung abschließen”, you do not need to do anything. It is all fine now.

Dear Tobias,

Thank you for your confirmation. Some update I would like to confirm you, are including:

  1. Since my study already finished and I have to return to my country (permanently) by the end of this year, I have sent a letter of contract termination for the number to the suggested address (from other discussion in this forum). The current contract will ended in 18.12.2020 and unfortunately will not be extended.
  2. O2 personnel just called me today, confirming about my letter of termination. She told me that some email had been sent to my email. However, I have check in my email (the same as the email for this forum), I got not email regarding confirmation about my letter.

Could you kindly confirm that all requirements to not extending the contract has been properly in place, e.g. mean that the bill for this number will be ended by 18.12.2020.
