Hi!

You bought an o2 Prepaid Starter-Package?

If so:

It is not necessary to enter your bank details to activate the sim card.

Don’t use automatic charge! Than you will not need a bank account number.

Choose Manuele Aufladung.

Automatic will work only with a German band account.

Hello @Strix556 ,

welcome to our community! 🎉

You already received very good help from tearsbeforecrying and schluej. 😊

Did you choose the manual charge and was the activation successful?

Best regards,

Manuela

The same case - I just bought pre-paid 9.99 SIM, tried to activate via https://sim-aktivieren.o2online.de/ but stuck on Personal Data page: I filled all the data concerning address (in Berlin) and other but I have no IBAN yet and I don’t see any Manuele Aufladung option. How can I activate SIM w/o IBAN now?

Hello, so can anybody help me with SIM activation with no IBAN?

Welcome to the Community @Yury72. 💙

If you activate your SIM card through the following website, you will reach Step 3 where you can choose manual top-up.

Did it work? Or are you getting stuck right at Step 2 with your personal data?

Kind regards

Steffen

No, pressing ‘Weiter’ on Personal Data page always displays ‘An error occurred’ message and transition to the next step does not occur.

And it seems I know why - recent German laws change requires any SIM user identification, even of pre-paid SIM. So, if you are foreigner and/or have no EU IBAN, you cannot be identified with that online way. You have to ask to identify yourself right in shop where you’re going to buy pre-paid SIM and BEFORE the payment - your passport might not work and your German address confirmation may not be accepted (yes, you have to have a German address to buy a SIM :) )

I agree with you @Yury72.👍

if this is not possible online, it seems the only option left is to try verifying in person at an o2 store

Have you attempted this step in the last two days?

Kind regards

Steffen
