Contract termination via online forum & router return process

Hello O2 community & staff,

My name is Rein and i'm a student who is currently studying abroad in Germany and I have a room in which I had a DSL connection (O2 my Home M Flex contract) installed which has the option to be terminated with atleast a month till the desired termination date.
Now looking on Mein o2 is saw the option to terminate my contract via an online forum (Online-Kündigung per Formular (gesetzlich). Now on this online forum there is the option to indicate the desired date of termination

Now my question is, due to me already knowing when I wish to stop using o2's services, would I still have full acces to the features of my contract (including acces to this community account to ask questions) until the indicated termination date? Are there any other administrative tasks that I need to take care off?

And regarding the router I received from o2 as part of the contract, what is the process I need to follow to send it back (+ do I get my money back once the router has been sent back and received)?

^would bringing it to the nearest o2 shop be possible & faster?

Hello @Rein_Kieb ,

since you have a Flex contract you can easily choose the month where you want the contract to end and you will have access to it until the deactivation date that gets confirmed. The router you can send back to us once it’s not needed anymore, you’ll find the needed documents here online as well.

Kind regards, Sven

Hello O2 community and staff

In my last post I asked if contract termination was possible through the online forum which I received confirmation on. However going through the process of preparing my contract termination I hit a little thing that made me confussed. Seeing as how I only have my DSL contract for the wifi, I have no phone connected to the line but for the contract termination the forum ask for a Rufnummer (phone number) and now i'm confused if they wish to know the phone number that is under my personal/contact information or the one that is “apparently” connected to the DSL line. See picture below.

Because if its the one in the picture above, I cant be contacted on that (as no phone is connected) and the one under my contact information isn't truly mine so if i'm contacted there for confirmation there might be a delay (I dont have a german phone number so the one under my personal information is that of my friend/landlord). I hope someone can clear this up for me.

Moin,

a internet contract from O2 has always a phone number. And O2 needs the Phone number of you contract

That’s a unique identifier for O2.

Hey @Rein_Kieb,

welcome to the o2 Community 💙

Were you able to find the phone number you need to enter or can we help you here?

Greetings,
Flo
