Call Forwarding

Hello,

I have the following questions.

  1. Does O2 in Germany support call forwarding to to a different number? What I mean, I currently have Free unlimited Max subscription in Germany. But when I travel I use a different number (non German number). I would like to forward calls coming on my German O2 number to the non German number. If it is possible, hoe can it be done and how much does it cost?
  2. Where can I see how much data I use on a monthly basis, Monthly data usage is not mentioned on the invoices which I receive from O2. It is also not mentioned in Mein O2, suspect this is because I have an unlimited plan, however, I will appreciate understanding how much data I use per month.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Harl

Hello @Harl,

Consumption will not be shown to you in the customer area in Unlimited Max. You can only check this directly on your smartphone.
In order to give you a valid answer to how much data volume you can use freely in the EU, you would have to know the basic fee for Free Unlimited Max.
Call forwarding to a foreign number is possible. The costs are as much as a call to the relevant country costs.

Best regards

Good evening @Harl,

Thank you for reaching out to the community with your question.

To question number 2:

  1. The Free Unlimited Max: You only have unlimited in Germany. Outside Germany, you are useing Roaming and have different costs in each world zone. In Germany you don't see how much GB of data/internet you have used because you have an unlimited contract. Depending on how old your contract is you have roaming 2018 with 43 GB in Europe or you have roaming plus where you have only 300 MB in Europe. Don't worry, with some contracts you can change the roaming options.

To question number 1:

  1. Forwarding Number: It is possible to set up call forwarding for your contract but as far as I know this is only possible in Germany. I have looked at some posts where it was possible to make a foreign number a call forwarding but how much it costs I have not found out. Maybe a moderator knows.

Until a moderator comes by here, it can take up to 14 days due to high demand for help.

Best regard,

RhobarDerIII

Hello@RhobarDerIII, @Vilureef,

Thanks for your answers.

  1. I am aware of the EU limit on my internet plan plus I can see the the amount of data used in EU. My interest was data used in Germany, data reported on a mobile phone is not necessarily the same as that recorded by ISP (IN my case O2). Is there a specific reason why data used in Germany is not reported despite the fact that the contract plan is unlimited. Still good to know how much data is used.
  1. Considering @Vilureef ‘s answer Thanks for the answer and the associated costs. How can one setup call forwarding?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Harl

Data is only recorded if it is relevant for billiung purposes. For the same reason only telephone calls and text messages are listed on itemised bills if they are not included in a flatrate.

There shoudn’t be a significant difference between the data consumption reported on your phone and that recorded by the ISP. The differences are usually because the start and end points of the reporting period are not exactly the same.
