where can I get my router?

My activation date for the new internet is 02.12. However, no one yet came to my house to deliver kabel router. The technician said I will get a router and also one lady called me the other day, but she did not get back to me again since she can't speak English and I am not a good german user. Whenever I call back, the number is only with automated AI response. My german friend couldn't even communicate to this AI. How can I get my router? Where should I call for help?? Can you use old dsl router for kabel?

Moin Moin,

Have you ordert a router from O2? On the Web Shop the rent router has to be selected to get one.

Normally you get a confirmation what u will get.

If you rent a router, you will get the router by DHL short before the line goes live.

If you not ordert a router then buy one.

With DSL a FRITZ!Box 75x0 is a good idea.

With Kabel a 

is a nice choose.

I did not order the router when I sign the contract. Where can I order one to rent? I would like to order Fritz 6660 with monthly payment.

just wait for a O2 Admin.

You have to pay 4,99€ / Month + 49,99€ Onetime fee and 9,99€ for P&P.

If the cost are OK just agree, so that the O2 Admins know that you agree to the costs.

Hello @Suzieee ,

we’d be happy to add a FritzBox 6660 to your order.  As schluej already said, you’ll have one time fees for the hardware, if that is fine with you please let us know.  You can of course also buy a cablerouter yourself, in that case you should make sure that it is not a unit that has been used before or has a Vodafone branding, as these will generally be blacklisted. If you have any further questions, please let us know.

Yes, If this monthly payment of 5 euros is only up until contract period (24 months?) I would love to add this in our contract. I have my contract starting this week. Can I get it this week? Or does it normally takes long. (If this takes a lot of time, I will alternatively get a new router.

Hello @Suzieee ,

to answer your previous questions, even if these are obsolete now that you have decided to purchase a router yourself. The monthly payment is for as long as you would be using the unit. When a router is added late to an order, it is shipped once the contract starts. So while it doesn’t take a long time you would receive it after the date of activation.
