Termination of DSL Contract


I have a DSL internet contract (monthly basis) and I want to cancel the same from March. While signing the contract at the store.

I did not send a letter to Nuremberg last week (24th January) for the termination. However I did not get any reply yet.

Kindly help me in this case.

So, I hope that the detailed process for returning the rented router would be mentioned.

And I need to incur any charges for the same?

Hello Lars,

I received a mail from O2 confirming the termination of the contract on 28.02.2019. That is fine and according to what I mentioned. However, it is mentioned that the router has to be sent by 28.02.2019, which seemed somewhat confusing since the contract ends on the same day itself. The connection would be terminated on 28.02.2019 and that means I should use it till that day midnight and can post the router the next day and it should reach by one day.

In case I have to send the router by 28.02, I get to use it for less days than the agreed period.


Can you please clarify this situation?

At the same time it is also mentioned that an invoice would be sent the following month detailing all the deductions and charges. But, I am shifting to another place after 28.02.2019.

Is it possible to send the invoice in my registered email or at my new address?

No Problem at all , you can return the router after the week after cancellation, no need to hurry.

You can create the label after deactivation. You just need the router serial number (printed on the label on the bottem of the router).
