What is the meaning of PUK ?

PUK is an acronym it means “Pin Unlocking Key.

Important note: The PUK is 8 numbers. ( Your PIN is 4 numbers )

What is the code for?

It is used to reset a personal identification number (PIN) that has been lost or forgotten.

Why am I being asked for my phone’s PUK Number?

The main reason is there has been three attempts to enter the pin. *These attempts fail because the PIN code is incorrect.
*The PIN a form of security protection which requires a PIN number to activate the phone after it switch on. The PIN is also used if you have activated the PIN to unlock your phone. ( if activated )

Someone is trying to makes settings to the phone security in such a way the phone requests a PUK.

The phone has been reported lost or stolen.

It is recommended that you do not use the same pin for Banking or similar secure accounts.

NEVER write the pin code down! It is all too easy to confuse PIN’s and Passwords.
