Trying to cancel contrat / get support from abroad


Hello (:

My wife and I have left Germany back home to Israel. We’re trying to cancel our 02 contract from here. We’ve filed the online form for cancelation of contract, but money is still being taken from our German account by Telefonica. We would love to talk to live support in english in order to sort everything out, but we’re not sure if we can reach European numbers from here. What options to we have to talk to someone about this? Thank you.

welcome to the o2 Community 💙.

The contracts that were connected to you community account have all been deactivated at the end of October. The bills themselves are issues retroactively, so this month you will be getting the last bill, that will cover for the time until the deactivation of the contracts. I hope this cleared things up, if you still have further questions, feel free to ask.

I will be happy to help you here. 
If you are moving abroad, please check out the following link.
There you will find a form, which you can fill out and send back to us. 
In order to be able to terminate the contract prematurely, we need the following documents from you. 
- the deregistration certificate of your previous place of residence
- the registration certificate of your new place of residence abroad
alternatively to the registration certificate, a confirmation from your employer or landlord
(e.g. employment contract, rental agreement)

i dont have certificate of my previous place of residence and neither of the new one 

and no possible to have and employer or landlord contract or renteal agreetment things are different where I live now and also Im a self employee

just want to cancel my contrct that shoundnt be to difficult

Also I cant send the cancelation papers by fax or by post as Im in other continent will get ages to get to Germany

You will not be able to terminate the contract early without a deregistration certificate from Germany. You can usually have this sent to you by post if you are no longer in the country. Proof of residence in another country can be a recent official document with your name and address on it, for example a utility bill.

Of course I understand that you want to terminate your contract before the end of the notice period if you no longer live in Germany. At the same time, I would also like to ask for your understanding that we cannot simply terminate the contract without appropriate proof.

You had already submitted an notice of termination by the end of the contract via our online form, so currently your contract will be terminated on September 7th, 2024.

You can also use the online cancellation form for an earlier, extraordinary termination. Please check "Außerordenlich" and “Umzug ins Ausland” and describe the problem in the free text field that appears afterwards. You can also upload documents there.

Our cancellation department will contact you in case they need further information then.
