Hello

I am currently testing o2 with a test card and so far it has better speed than Telekom. I have company discount from my company, and I have few questions.

Is it possible to get a partner contract with a phone? I will get iPhone 15 Pro Max (which will come on Sept or Oct) with M Boost tariff, and will get the same for my wife. Also, I want to transfer our numbers from Telekom to o2.

Are these possible with company discounts? (via o2-mitarbeitervorteil.de)

Also, are the speeds and coverage different with the Test card and M Boost tariff?

Another question, are multisims free of cost? I need one for my Apple Watch for myself and one for iPad with the Partner Card

And final question. Does roaming works with Apple Watch in France, Austria and Croatia? with Telekom roaming is not working in France with Apple Watch.

Dear @KTurkes ,

welcome in our o2 community. 🌤️

Great that you are pleased with our networkspeed. 😁

Yes, you can port every number that is free for porting to a contract with us, you can assign it by the “Mein o2 app” or our onlineportal.

A combination benefit must always be selected directly when booking, if you can select it when booking via the employee benefit, you will get it. If it is not possible to specify it, then it is not possible because of the discount you already receive and cannot be booked later.

The chosen tariff also has no influence on the speed, unless you choose a tariff that actually has a fixed maximum speed, such as the o2 Unlimited Basic (with 2 MBit/s) or the o2 unlimited Smart (with 10 MBit/s). With o2 Mobile M Boost, however, there is no such thing. For Boost tariffs, two additional multicards and up to 7 data cards are included in the price.

I am not aware that roaming with an AppleWatch would not work in France, Austria or Croatia. But mind, that you will need an eSIM.

Kind regards,

Andrea

On the portal, I see only option to get phone for my primary account. How can I get a phone to my wife’s partner account with company discount?

Also, can I first get the numbers, and then at a later time change the contracts with devices?

How does number transfer work? Again, on the order page I see one option to number transfer but for one number. If I sign a contract with O2, how can I transfer my wife’s number? What will happen to her new O2 number? Will it be automatically replaced by the transferred number or will there be two numbers?

For Apple Watch, I will need eSIM, as well as for my iPhones and iPad too. I am not using physical SIM cards for years :)

Telekom was saying Apple Watch doesn’t support VoLTE, and that was the reason for roaming not working. Will that be the case with O2? I don’t know how it works in the background. I just want my AW work when I am on a trip within EU zone.

Dear @KTurkes ,

you first have to log-in with your My o2 account so that our system knows that it is you and then order an additional partner card on our website. You can then order the cell phone together, so that you can get a discount..
Once the new contract is activated, you can request a number porting via the My o2 app. It takes about eight days until the new old number is ported to the new contract.

For the Apple Watch Series SE (GPS & Cellular), Series 6 (GPS & Cellular), Series 5 (GPS & Cellular), Series 4 (GPS & Cellular) and Series 3 (GPS & Cellular), the use of mVolte is possible for all multicards of a set.

Kind regards,

Andrea
