Hi, I am an O2 prepaid customer, I am travelling to Pakistan soon and I’d like to receive calls and sms over there. Do I need to turn on roaming or change some settings in my O2 account via O2 app or the roaming is activated by default?

your card is free of barrings and can roam accordingly. Pakistan, however, is quite expensive.

Even receiving calls comes at a price. Maybe VoWifi is an option for you, if your planning to talk to german numbers while in pakistan:
