prepaid intenet Roaming not working


Dear Team, 

 

Mobile data roaming doesn’t work for my O2 Prepaid sim card from Germany. 

I keep getting the pop up error with message: “Could not activate the mobile data network”.

Could you please help me mitigate this issue?

Does your sim card work without roaming then?

I am able to call my friend using the sim but no internet connectivity using the sim.

Which data pack is active for your prepaid card and until which date? Have you perhaps set up a roaming block for data in your mobile phone?

Currently, I have Smart 300 pack activated until end of 2023. Roaming is turned on and I also tried reseting the sim but nothing seems to work!

Hello @SRohilla ,

where were you using your prepaid SIM. Up until today there have been issues with the data connections in the Netherlands. These have been fixed, so if this was the root cause, then you should be able to use your data again.

The Smart 300 is a very old option and needs to be renewed monthly and therefore the option is not valid until the end of 2023.

You can use the internet in Germany?
Have you checked whether the APN says pinternet.interkom.de or just internet? pinternet.interkom.de must be entered there.
Have you ever asked customer service to block the SIM card for internet abroad?

For the moment it seems to be working fine.
