Please tell me how can I cancel the prepaid youth tariff and switch to a new youth tariff, or do I need to order a new one? At the moment, I have an O2 mobile unlimited basic online tariff plan. I would like to switch to unlimited 15mbit/s instead of 3Mbit/s.

I'm not satisfied with the speed. I would like the Internet to be faster and 15Mbit/s would suit me perfectly. A youth fare at this rate costs 10 euros more than my current one. My prepaid tariff is for at least 24 months, but as far as I know, I can break it at any time or switch to another one, but I can't find a suitable tariff in the offers, there are all offers for switching starting from 40 euros.

when did your contract start exactly?
When it is still new, you can only switch the tarif without extending the running time, there the discounts are usually smaller, after 5 months you can change with an extension of 24 months, there the discounts are usually bigger.
When the contract is younger than 14 days and you have made it online, you can still cancel via widerruf@cc.o2online.de and make a new contract.

I wrote an email and now I'm waiting for them to respond. Will I be charged € 20 for disabling the tariff ahead of time? I was not charged when I activated the tariff initially.

@buenosdiaslisa No, we do not charge for cancellations, your order of the contract will be nil and void when you have sent us the cancellation within time, which is the case if you ordered on August 19th and cacelled today

You misunderstood me.. I received a SIM card and activated it on August 19th. I've been using it ever since, but I'm not satisfied with the speed of the Internet.

@buenosdiaslisa Oh ok, the 14 days start the day after your order, when you recieve per e-mail the conditions of you Tarif together with an explanation of your right to cancel the contract. If this e-mail has been sent to you more than 14 days ago the deadline for cancellation would be over.

@buenosdiaslisa If you have ordered the contract more than 14 days ago then our special department cannot cancel your order anymore and it remains to switch the tarif to a Mobile Unlimited Smart for example.

@buenosdiaslisa You can switch via our colleagues in our english speaking hotline 089 66 66 30 08 1 or register for a customer account in Mein o2 and then register a new account here with your phone number, in order for us here to be allowed to access your data and look for you whether a switch and whether also the young people discount are available for your contract in our system.
In case that the availability is not given by our system right now, this can change as with the end of the fiifth month running time an extansion with usually better discounts is possible.

Okay, I've registered. But all I have there is to order a new SIM card with a new contract at a discount. But there is no way to transfer my current number or terminate the contract.

Hi @buenosdiaslisa, the sentence cannot yet be extended means that the term of your contract cannot yet be extended.
However, there may be an option to switch to a higher tariff. Please look at My o2 or call the English-speaking hotline.

My tariff is still working. But no money was withdrawn from my card. I was also not billed for my tariff, and the status is still listed as "cannot be extended" but my tariff is still working and was updated from September 8th to October 7th.
