Hi,

I’ve bought Samsung Galaxy S21 5G smart phone with O2 Free M boost online contract on April last year. After that, on August last year, I got an email from O2 which mentioned that there is 5G network available in my living area. I need to activate 5G. I’ve activated the 5G on the day I got the email, but after that till now I’ve never seen any 5G signal on my phone.

Do you have any idea what went wrong for me? How can I use 5G network?

See below the screenshot of the email I received from 02 about 5G in my area.

Hello @Iftekher,

the email mentions that 5G is currently being developed. However, we cannot make any statement as to when it will actually be available.
You also have an asterisk * in the email that you copied. What does it say as a further note?

You can check the network coverage at any time at any location you are currently at with the help of the live check. You can find it under the following link: Click.
You can also find more information and explanations in our FAQ:

Kind regards

Dear @Iftekher ,

5G is activated for you. Where did you try the 5G net? It is only available in Freiburg, not at your homeaddress.

Kind regards,

Andrea

Hi @o2_Andrea,

Thanks for yur reply. But in the email it is written in the place of my residence the 5G network progressing. What does that mean?

And also, if possible give me the link of the network coverage map you took screenshot of.
