How to cancel my contract during corona?


Hi, 


I wish to cancel my contract. I will be leaving Germany on 22nd August 2020. 

Kindly help me with the same.

Does your contract end in August or are you asking about early termination as a gesture of goodwill? For the latter you need to complete this form and send in the required documents:

When I bought my subscription, the person at the shop was well aware of the fact that I only require it for 11 months and I specifically asked him if I will be able to cancel and was not told about any cancellation fee and I would like to get the same waived off. 

Also, does the registration certificate mention the deregisteration certificate or just the registration that I have already been issued?

I have the same issue, however, in the height of all the news about the virus and what was happening in America, I just left the country. I have a friend willing to send my wifi router back to the store with the label. When she called the person on the phone said that my airplane ticket was proof enough that I had left the country. I also have a letter from the Meiterbund and my landlord where we discuss that April 30 is my last day in the apartment.  Is the plane ticket enough?

thanks for your message concerning your wish to terminate your contract because of moving abroad.

 

I regret that you were not properly informed when you ordered your contract.

 

We only can cancel your contract to an earlier date, if we get the following documents from you:

  • the deregistration certificate from Germany
  • the registration certificate from the new country (alternatively a confirmation of your employer or landlord)
  • your approval for us to charge you the all-inclusive basic fee for 3 months

As soon as we have these documents together with the cancellation because of moving abroad , we will cancel your contract to the earliest possible date.

Please find here all instructions for the cancellation because of moving abroad .

 

As you see here in the cancellation form we need the following documents:

  • the deregistration certificate from Germany
  • the registration certificate from the new country (alternatively a confirmation of your employer or landlord)
  • your approval for us to charge you the all-inclusive basic fee for 3 months

I cannot tell you if we accept the one-way flight-ticket as proof. But without the deregistration certificate from Germany, we will certainly not accept it as the only document.

 

As soon as we have all requested documents, we will cancel your contract to the earliest possible date.
