Contract cancellation

Hi, I would like to cancel my contract with O2, I have send the request through the webpage but then it asked me to call a phone number but there’s no option for English and my German is not good enough to understand what the menu says. Is there any other option to confirm my contract cancellation?

You can send your termination by post instead (use recorded delivery so that you have proof).

To confirm the notice of termination you have made on the website, a telephone call with our hotline is needed. Unfortunately we do not offer an english speaking service there. But as @bs0 has already correctly pointed out (thanks a lot), you can simply send us the cancellation by post or fax.

Hi @o2_Andrea thanks for your answer.

I have sent the cancellation by post and the tracking says it was delivered on the 19th, but I still haven’t received any confirmation. Is there any place where I can check if both my lines are confirmed to be cancelled?

we received the cancellation, but unfortunately it was not from the original contract holder. :confused:

In order to cancel the contract we need a cancellation from the person who owns the contract.

What? I am the owner of the contract and i sent the letter personally. From who does it appear then that it was sent?

sorry, my mistake. Your contracts with the numbers -29 and -99 at the end will be terminated on January 5th, 2021.

It’s your data card and the mobile tariff.

May I ask you for the reason? If I can give you an interesting offer to extend your contract for further 24 months, just let me know. In this case, please let me know, how much data-volume you need and/ or if you like to have a device as well.  You can also check here: http://g.o2.de/vvl 

 

I just checked the situation with your cancellation-letter. Your contract will end on 5th January 2021.
