Homespot failing internet

Hi

I live in Munich (PLZ 81243) and experiencing extremely slow internet or no internet at all for more than a week. Me and my partner work from home and need a stable connection. Please, advise when there might be a fix in the area?

We are feeling forced to change Internet provider soon and file a complaint if this continue so we are not charged for cancellation of contract, since O2 is not providing the contracted service.

Please, help! We are paying a lot of money not to get service.

For this reason, you have of course ordered a DSL, cable or fibre optic connection?

I use 5G homespot as I used to have when I lived in Sweden. That was the preferred choice at the time as being the quickest way to get internet up and (not) running at our new home. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Then it's probably time for a permanent solution.

I assume no official reply from O2 is expected here, right

Hello @RickyBRA,

welcome to our o2 Community 🙂

In our Livecheck the collesagues from our technical department report that there is indeed a disturbance due to maintenance work.

From the evening of today on it will ,be fixed according to the colleagues.

I wish that from later on your internet connection will be better again, I understand that in our time a functioning internet connection is absolut necessary 🙂

Best Regards,

Gerrit

I really don't know why some people are so obsessed with using mobile networks for stationary use. There is neither a need for it nor does it make sense. German cities are well covered with wired connection technologies such as DSL connections, cable/DOCSIS connections and fibre optic connections. This is might not be the case in sparsely populated Sweden - but this is Germany.
I am also not aware of any offices that have been deliberately connected to the Internet via mobile telephony by companies, even though wired connection technologies are available.

Good morning @RickyBRA 🙂
I have just looked at PLZ81243, unfortunately the LTE station still shows restrictions 😔

It hasn't gotten any better for you either, has it?

Have you considered a different connection for your home, such as DSL or cable?
Best regards

Kathi

Hi Kathi…

The connection often shows issues. I just to ask my colleagues to wait for me to restart my modem in the middle of a meeting with clients… not great service that O2 has been offering to my area. Still after many days:

I will move from my current apartment in May next year (5 months from now). Is it worth switching for only 5 months? Would there be charges for the changes?

Hello @RickyBRA,

a change of technology is possible at your address. This is possible to DSL, cable or fiber, but would not entail discounts.

Best Regards,

Gerrit

Hello @RickyBRA,

could you reach a decision on how to proceed regarding a change of technology?

Best Regards,

Gerrit
