Porting from o2- prepaid with mein o2


Hi,

 

My situation is a mess! first, I wanted to port from aldi to o2 prepaid. After 2 months, aldi released my number on Jan 19th and yet, O2 has not sent me the replacement simcard after 2 months even though I ordered it twice!

Now, I want to port to vodafone. Since I don’t have a mein o2 account, I cannot use “opt-in” option. What should I do to have my phone released from o2!!!

You can have your phone number released via the hotline. But you can also wait until an o2 employee can help you here O2 Service in English Our English-speaking postpaid and landline support for you. We are happy to assist you. 089 66 66 30 08 1 Mon. - Fri. 8 am - 8 pm, Sat. 10 am - 6 pm

I called this number, but they said since your phone number is prepaid we cannot help you and you should call the prepaid hotline and speak Deutsch.

call the normal prepaid hotline. I think there will certainly be someone who can speak English.

Otherwise you will unfortunately have to wait until an o2 employee reports here.

We only take the number from Aldi to us, when the SIM-Kart is activated and the verification is successful. When you did not activate a SIM-Card then please tell Vodafone that they have to take the number from Aldi because you’re number is still there. Till 90 days after cancellation of the Aldi contract, you have time to port the number to an other provider. When you further want to give us a chance, then I will look for you what we can do for you and go with you in the PM.

sorry for the late reply. I'm glad you want to give us another chance. Your previously ordered cards should have lost their validity due to the lack of activation. Are you still within the 90 day period after cancelling the card from Aldi? If you are still within the period, then you can get a new prepaid SIM card in our portal or in one of our stores and apply for the number portability. If you have additional questions about the ordering or porting process, please ask. 🙂 Additional we have some helpful Information on our Portal in English.
