portability


Hello! I want to take my number to another company.. what should I do? I have gotten an email rejecting the transition!

welcome to the o2 community.
It's a shame that you have decided to leave us. May I ask why?

Are you currently using a prepaid card or a fixed-term contract?
For prepaid cards and for porting during the term of a 24-month contract, the number must first be activated for porting. You can do this yourself in your My o2 account in the app or in the web browser.
If you have a fixed-term contract and only want to port your number at the end of the term, you can simply apply to the new provider for porting at the end of the term.

Hi Jessica!! Yes, I found a much better deal in another company. 
I have a prepaid..In which part of the web browser can I find it?? Im straggaling with that.

Hello @Milisn,

you can do that in the My o2 App under "Tariff & Options" (Tarif & Optionen) - "Phone number transfer" (Rufnummermitnahme) - "Release phone number now” (Rufnummer jetzt freigeben).

Hello! Will I be charged if I request portability of my number to take to another company? If that’s the case, how much money do I need to have in the account? Thanks

Hello @Milisn ,

there is no longer a fee associated with moving your number over to another provider. This was changed in late last year at the 1st of Dezember 2021.
