Have you looked in detail at the invoice? What exactly have you been charged? 40 Euros are likely to be the connection charge. Also check the contract documents you signed. What prices are shown there?
Hello @Beatrixmars,
welcome to the o2 community. And thank you for your contribution!
Just as @bs0 has already written (thanks for your help!), I would also like to ask what exactly is written in your contract confirmation/contract overview and what has now been charged in the first invoice.
It's best to check everything again in detail. As soon as you can't understand an item, write down exactly which one you mean. Then we can look at it together and check it.
Kind regards
Jessica
Thank you Jessica and @bs0 for your quick answers.
Unfortunately on the contract I’ve signed there is no amount of the monthly fee I should pay. It’s very unclear. I’m reading all the small text in the contract I’ve signed and I found that the only amount mentioned is the Einmaliger Anschlusspreis of €39,99. In the rest of the contract there is no sign of the monthly fee that should be discounted of 50%. The contract also says that I am already a o2 Kunde and I am signing for a Kombi-Vorteil and that the Tarif is o2 Free Unlimited Smart.
The invoice I’ve received has the following amounts that I would like to understand: Verbindungen & Services (€ 40,70), Anschlusspreis (39,99) and O2 my data unlimited (39,99). To that there is a minus of Sonderrabat (1monat) (-39,99) and Kombi-Vorteil (only -1,94).
Let’s say that I wasn’t aware of the Einmaliger Anschlusspreis and I need to pay it, ok, there is still a mistake, because according to the deal of 50% discount to the tarif of 39,99 I should have paid in total €80 which would include 39,99 (Einmaliger Anschlusspreis) + 19,99 (my monthly internet M tarif) + 19,99 (my new Unlimited Smart tarif).
Why is the invoice of €102 instead?
Thank you,
My best,
Beatrice
Can you upload a screenshot of page 2 of the invoice (without any personal details)?
You have costs of 40,70€ at the item "Connections & Services".
Have you activated the EVN?
Did you perhaps call abroad? You have 40 Euros of call costs. Everything else looks fine. Note that this invoice only covers 2 days - presumably because the mobile contract started just before the end of your billing period. That is why both the monthly charge and the combi-discount are so low. They should be normal in the next invoice.
Dear @Sächsin and @bs0 thanks for your nice response. It’s really unclear what the “connection and service” is. I don’t know what EVN is, and I think that call abroad (in EU) should be included in the Tarif. I really hope that the next bill will be a normal price, but I believe it should be my right as a customer to be informed exactly about the real price of the service I subscribed to.
Thank you, Beatrice
Verbindungen = calls, EVN is an itemised bill.
Calls from Germany to other EU countries are not included, so if you have made such calls since this bill then your next bill will include these charges as well. What is included is EU roaming, i.e. when you use your phone in another EU country.
Where do you think you have been misinformed?
@bs0 I think it’s a 2018 European regulation to have EU calls same price as national rate https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_Union_international_calls_regulations#Prices
Uk and Switzerland not included of course… isn’t this rule applying also in Germany?
You are confusing the 2015 EU roaming regulation (roam like at home) with the regulation of the price of international calls made from the home network. If you look at the information in the table on the Wikipedia page you linked to you will see that calls made from the home network (in your case o2 Germany) to another EEA country are subject to a cap of € 0.19 per minute.
@bs0 oh I understand, thank you for the information, I was misinformed about that, my big mistake about call abroad. Still remain the question of the next bill: is it correct that the kombi-vorteil will be discounting 50% price from the o2 free unlimited smart? I really hope so, otherwise I will have to change tarif. Thanks a lot for your help.
The 50% was already applied in the invoice you posted here (3.87 / 2 = 1.94), so there is no reason why it should not continue to be applied going forward.
Hello @Beatrixmars ,
is there anything else we can help you with or is everything fine so far. Until the next bill comes in it will still be a bit. If anything should be unclear with that, feel free to once again ask here in the community.
Thank you for the help and answers bs0.
Kind regards, Sven
