I got cheated and asked for bribe at the O2 store which is at the Hamburg Altona Main Station, Germany. There is a member of staff called "[Name anonymisiert]" who tried to demand a bribe to generate an e-SIM QR code for my new phone. When I asked for a bill, he said they couldn't issue one and insisted I had to pay in cash. This was completely unacceptable. When he realised I had caught him out, he became extremely rude and asked me to leave, saying that no other shop could help me either. This behaviour is appalling and reflects badly on the service. Such individuals should face consequences for their actions. I am deeply upset by this incident and it is people like him who are damaging the reputation of the entire O2 service, which will ultimately suffer.

Good morning
First of all, I would like to welcome you to our community
It's great that you've joined us here. What you experienced in one of our stores is not okay
I understand that you are very upset.
What amount was involved? What should you pay for a new eSIM?
Did you need an additional eSIM or a SIM swap to an eSIM?
Best regards, Kathi
Dear Kathi,
I changed my phone, and i wanted to transfer my esim to my new phone. I went to the store and the staff their named "Name anonymisiert] ( O2 store, Altona, Hamburg) asked for 10 Euro cash and when i asked him to give me invoice or some proof, he said it’s hidden amount that we don’t disclose. So if you need QR code for this, you have to pay. After some argument the guy got to know that he got caught by me and he started behaving so badly and tried to harass me. And did something in the system which made my old QR unable to work. This is really very bad. If O2 hire such staff then soon O2 will close. Such people are bad for O2s reputation.
its been 6 days i am struggling with to get a QR code to activate the esim in my new phone.
I will not stop and will reach out to the whole world about this experience, so that people doesn’t have to suffer like me.
I would like to request you to take some action about that store and particularly for lName anonymisiert] ( Staff).
Thanks & Regards
Mohit

He asked to pay in cash and there I caught him.
Hello
I'm sorry that you had a bad experience.
It is correct that the “old” eSIM profile must be deleted so that a new one can be installed.
An eSIM profile cannot be transferred to a new cell phone.
It must then be ordered again.
You can order the eSIM profile online yourself and install it directly.
Under eSIM Bestellung und Aktivierung auf o2online.de you can see how to order and activate a new profile.
Undero2 eSIM - SIM-Tausch über das o2.de Webportal you can see how to exchange an existing profile.
You do not currently have an eSIM profile activated, but two physical SIM cards.
Regarding the complaint about the dealer, I need some more information and will write you a private message.
Kind regard,
Solveig
Hello
I hope that the activation of the eSIM profile has worked in the meantime ?
I have closed the private messages.
If you would like me to make a complaint about the retailer, please contact me again here.
Then we'll go back to the exchange via private message.
Kind regards,
Solveig
