Hello,
Anyone else having such Speeds? I have a Kabel L (100 Mbps), Fritzbox 6660. The last 5 days, I have been having 50 Mbps and at best 75 Mbps at any given point. Today, seems everything is on its knees since 10:00 Hrs (its now 16:40).
Is this what they call the Snail’s Speed? I have reported this issue, a Vodafone technician came over and said that my connection is “ok”…

edit o2_Tobias: moved from router & internet to our English Community (DSL)

@Mwafrika Speedtest over LAN? What Firmware Version on the Fritzbox 6660? And please a Screenshot from the Fritzbox Internet/Cable Information/channels . Thanks!

Hi @Joe Doe
FYI, that is speedtest on LAN. The WiFi could not even lead a single page! I was getting time out accessing Google.com! Right now the Numbers are looking VERY good, however it is flactuating every few minutes! Through out the day, the best download speeds I got on the Fritzbox was 24 Mbps.

@Mwafrika Your Wifi Speed Problem. Please deactivate WPA2/WPA3 mix mode and switch to WPA2 only. I think this made your WiFi problems.

Thanks for the suggestion @Joe Doe . What about the LAN problem? I have more issues or need my LAN than my WiFi… Afterall, I highly doubt that with the MESH technology this is the issue at hand.

@Mwafrika Can you make a Speedtest in the morning over https://www.speedtest.net/de ? And do you live in a big city?

@Joe Doe

If you look at the first screenshot, it is from speedtest.net . Mo, I do not live in a big city, I live in a very small village.

@Mwafrika
A fluctuating speed at a cable connection can happen every now and then, it always depends on how busy the backbone is that supplies you.

Can you see a pattern there ? So does it get slower from the weekend or in the evening, or does the speed collapse spontaneously?

Best Regards Matze

@o2_Matze

up to this point, there is no visible parten. It is a very random occurance. Where by, one day or one week, the internet is good, stable and reliable. And out of the blues, I suddenly can not access internet.
Up to this point, this can be 5 am, 10 am or any time after 2pm. Definately aroud 8pm the speeds are generally slower but not a complete collapse!
And for this reason, is why I was asking for Technology change but the red tape seems too long, I just may be pushed to cancel my contract on non perfomance grounds!

Kind regards,

Mwaf

@Mwafrika

My suggestion would be that you talk a second time to our colleagues from tec hotline,

so that a technician can take another look at your connection to check your Cable Internet.

Best Regards Matze

Hello @o2_Matze

I have done that several times but I will not tire of doing it.
For example, today there was a total internet failure between 18:00 - 18:45 but all hotline numbers were busy.

@Mwafrika I can understand your displeasure, but i am sorry,

the error cannot be rectified without calling our colleagues on our technical hotline again.
