PDP AUTHENTICATION FAILURE


Hello,

i have O2 homespot and I brought the sim card in italy last week, thinking it will automatically roam (but it didn’t). now, the bigger problem is i am back in Germany and the sim card doesn’t work 🥺 it says PdP autentication failed. I’m using an iphone 12pro max. I have tried to reset and restart the phone multiple times. I went to the shop just this morning and to no avail. Please someone help

You have an Italian homespot with an SIM card from Italy?

And know you are using this homespot card in a iPhone and it is not working?
in Germany the contract is fix to a location.

And if the card is from Italy than you should contact O2 Italy not Germany ….

I did not emphasize the details. I brought the sim card from Germany to Italy. The sim card is from Germany. I went on a vacation in Italy last week. And now I’m back in Germany. No signal. Pdp authentucation failed, it said.

Is there enough data volume left on the card?

Hi again, I have unlimited data volume on my contract. What’s confusing me even more is this : Voraussichtlicher verbraucht biz zur Rechnung : 0,4mb

 

does that mean i only have 0.4mb left on my data allowance? If that so, how come? I will also attach the photo of my contract here

The Homespot or the MyHome tarif plan is only suitable for use at a specified address (customer address). This means that roaming is NOT possible. 
The router and the SIM must be located exactly at your home address. Otherwise nothing works with the tariff.

Hi @Klaus_VoIP thank you for this information however i have used the sim card in other places here in Germany like (Berlin like 2 weeks ago and Frankfurt). And I encountered no problem at all. No roaming - okay I get it. So next time I wont bring it anymore abroad. But my concern now is it doesnt have a signal. I am currently at the registered address.

Possibly a time-delayed block for non-contractual use? Try o2's English-language hotline to solve the problem.

Dear @FrauKS ,

welcome to our community.

As @Klaus_VoIP has correctly pointed out, the o2 My Home tariffs are only usable at your home location. It does not work in foreign countys.

Please restart your device with the SIM card once completely.

Hi @o2_Andrea thank you for pointing that out again. By the way i didnt bring the router in italy, i just brought the sim card (because i thought roaming is included in the contract) But anyway, there’s still no luck. I have tried everything from restarting and resetting. Multiple times. I logged in in configuration portal of O2 and here’s what i saw (photos attached). I tried O2 hotline services but I can’t reach to anyone. Said call again. That’s why I came here. It has been 2 days. Well I guess i’d be paying the bill without the service i’m paying for.

The contract for the HomeSpot is tied to an address. So you can use the HomeSpot anywhere. But you can only use the SIM at the address you gave when you signed the contract! Are you at this address?

@o2_Lars thank you for removing it. I didnt noticed that at all as i was and still am full of frustration. @schluej i am currently at the registered address. I tried what you all suggested, its 3-4days now and its still not working. I dont know what to do anymore. Its only february. My contract runs until december 🤷🏻‍♀️ Is there no solution yo this?

I reached for my wrench and reset the log-in information for our network.

You use the SIM in your iPhone or in your HomeSpot?

Please switch off the device one again: Does everything work now?
