New tariff came with a new number

Hi.

So at the beginning of this month I got a call regarding an offer. The girl explained it like a better option than I had, and a cheaper one. She said I would get a new SIM card because of 5G and that's it. I did not get info this would mean a new number. Because I don't need 2 numbers and I didn't specifically said this to her.

The SIM card arrived a few days ago and yesterday I activated it only to find it's a new number and now I have two.

So I actually don't mind this new number as I'm not particularly tied to my old one and I like this new tariff (only downside is slower internet which I also didn't know will happen). Since I see in my o2 app this is a Kombi offer, I'm assuming I need to keep both numbers in order to have this tariff for the price that was offered. But I don't want to pay for 2 numbers and I'd like to cancel the other one then. Please tell me what my options are here.

Thanks in advance.

Hi @MartinaP88 ,

while within the first 14 days, you can withdraw from the contract using your right to withdrawl.

Please feel free to use our Form for that within the next few days:

A cancellation via phone will end the contract after the 2-year-period, which is not quite what was wished, right?

Best regards,

Kurt

You can't just cancel the old contract, you would have to cancel the new one. Are you still in the 14 day cancellation period?

Yes. As the start date is September 27. So I can cancel then this new tariff and number?

Yes.

Okay. Since I've never had to deal with something like this, I can just follow the process explained in the app where I give my notice first and then call to cancel completely, right?

Thanks, Kurt!

I'll fill this out and send it. It's enough to send it by email stated on the form, correct?

After that I also need to return the SIM card I got, and for that I can use the return portal, yes?

Sorry for all the questions, just want to do everything right and on time.

Hello @MartinaP88,

you can send the form to the email address that is stated on it, yes.

We do not require you to send back the SIM card. It will be deactivated within a short period of time that you send the “Widerruf” to us. :-)

Regards,

Lars
