Are you thinking about leaving us? We would be happy if you stayed and will make you a personal offer for your loyalty. By the way, after your minimum contract period you are only bound to the contract for one more month at any time. This way, you always remain flexible.

Notice Periods:

Mobile tariffs with a minimum contract term of 24 can be terminated within 30 days notice by the end of the contract term. If you do not cancel your contract in time, your contract will extend for another month.
Mobile tariffs without a contract period („Flex-Vertrag“) can be canceled with 30 days notice. If you do not cancel your contract in time, it will run for another month.

How can I find my contract renewal date?

You can manage your contract in „Mein o2“. Please click on „Mein o2 Übersicht“  to check your contract duration or tariff.

How do I withdraw my cancellation?

Our customer service will help you withdrawing your cancellation.

Can another person take over my contract?

This is possible with our so-called „Vertragsinhaberwechsel“. See how this works here.

How to cancel a fixnet contract with minimum contract term

First of all, do you need your landline number if you sign a  new contract with a different provider? If you intent to port your landline number, please do not cancel your contract by yourself. In this case your new provider will do this for you.  

Otherwise you can choose between these three options:

Extraordinary cancellation

Cancellation because of technical malfunctions?

For this kind of reason you need to get in touch with our technical support at first. They will check everything that leads to your malfunctions. If they are unable to solve the problem they will leave a note for an extraordinary cancellation. Use our o2 My Service App and get the direct line to our support

Cancellation because of death

First of all, we would like to express our sincere condolences. As a survivor, you can cancel or take over existing mobile phone, MyHandy and Internet & landline contracts. Please use our online form to do so. Please upload the death certificate and, if applicable, proof of renunciation of inheritance directly here.

Access to “Meino2” after cancellation

After your cancellation you will be able to log in to Meino2 for another 90 days notice to check your invoices. For log in, please use your access data as usual. Please be aware: if you ported the number to another provider you wouldn’t be able to use the service anymore.

Withdrawing a cancellation?

If you want to withdraw a cancellation including number portability which is a cancellation that reached us from another network provider, please get in touch with your new provider in order to withdraw your cancellation. With the cancellation of the number portability the cancellation order with o2 will be automatically discarded.
In all other cases please call our customer service to withdraw the cancellation. Please remember that some kind of cancellation processes can’t be stopped anymore. So don’t wait too long if you decide to stay with us.

Change of contract owner

Router has to be returned after cancellation
If you chose a rental router once you signed the contract the device has to be returned after the termination of your fixnet contract.  You will receive a note together with your confirmation of cancellation to send us your devices free of charge. Please join our Retourenportal to get a shipping label free of charge.
Please keep the shippment receipt until you get the return confirmed.
