I am using a sim card, my father in law got it for me when I moved to Germany. How can we change the ownership of the sim to me ?
p.s I am Egyptian and I don't have german id yet.
thank you
do you still have contact to your father in law?
For a change of ownership your father in law has to record his emailadress in the customer data of the prepaid account.
Then he can write a comment here in the forum and we have to identify him by some personel data, then we can initate the change by sending a reference id to him.
This reference he gives to you and you can give us your Name, address, Date of birth and the Four-digit Index (in a private massage)
Then you will receive a POSTIDENT-Voucher with which you can go to a post office with your id card to finish the change of ownership.
kind regards,
Andrea
thank you for your reply. yes I have contact with him but is there any easier way like filling an application and sending to you by fax or giving it to any o2 office (to be done by him)

o2 shops provide no service for prepaid. I am sorry for that.
You can send a private message to me and mention the personal four-digit index and the Emailadresse for your father in law.
king regards,
Andrea

HI Andreas,
I would also like to proceed with the ownership transfer of my O2 account. I am using the sim and the account from the beginning although it contains the personal data of my friend who helped me get the sim in the beginning. Please help me with how to proceed.
Hi
we have a specific form for the ownership transfer. Unfortunately it’s only available in german, but if you’re struggling with the translation, just tell us so we can assist you.
Best regards,
Michi
Hello,
I would like to also get the ownership transfer of my SIM card done. Could somebody help me by explaining the current process of doing this?
Looking forward for the response. Thanks
Best Regards,
Ajay
Hi
thanks for your request concerning the change of ownership for your prepaid-card.
As
You just have received an e-mail with the process of a change of ownership. I took the e-mail that is here in your community-profile. I hope that´s fine. In case that you do not get it, please find the form also here. Unfortunately, everything is in German language. I hope you cope with it.
After you have given all details concerning the new owner, you need to identify the new owner with post-identification.
I hope I could help you with this information.
Loving greetings,
Tobias

Hi,
i just bought a sim card for 15 euro. But when i downloaded the app and tried to do the registration i found the name, email id and address already filled in the app it shows 15gb data available as well. I changed the address but i want to change the email id and transfer the ownership to my name.
What should i do ?
Hello
have you maybe activated a different card before and it still has saved data from back then, or was the name given when originally purchasing the card different to yours?
Kind regards, Sven
Hello,
i took an O2 sim in my friend’s name. now i have ported it to sim.de. but what to do next if i have to get that ported in my name?
thanks in advance!!
Welcome to the community
Does this mean that your phone number is already stored under your name with SIM.de?
If that is already the case, I'll provide you with a link to an article that covers everything about the topic of number portability.
If the phone number at SIM.de is still registered under your friend's name, it would need to be transferred to you first.
It would also work if your friend subscribes to a prepaid plan with O2, transfers the number, and then changes the owner to your name. It is important for the transfer that the first name, last name, and birthdate match.
If you have any further questions about this, please feel free to let me know. Thank you very much, and best regards.
Steffen
