it is really great that you provide service also in English!
I have O 2 DSL Classic S tariff (50MB/s) until 22.01.2021. Previously 50MBit/s was the fastest possible speed, but now when I check what is available for my location I see that 100MBit/s is also possible.
Could you confirm thar I could get 100Mbit/s? I already have FritzBox 7490 router for one-time payment (so no monthly fee). Can I just switch to O2 my Home L tariff but keep that router without paying extra 4.99/month and other connection fees? Could you send me some extension offers?
Cheers

@public_nickname yes.if you switch to a my home L your Fritzbox 7490 will still free. Can you post a screenshot from the Fritzbox Internet/DSL Informationen/ Tap DSL. I am interested in you line quality. Thank you.
Hey @Joe Doe, thank you for your interest. Here is DSL information:
@public_nickname your line quality is great. You can make an upgrade to my Home L (100 Mbit) without paying 4.99 Euro monthly for the Fritzbox 7490. An o2 Moderator (employee from o2) will confirm this. I strongly recommend to make the upgrade over this forum here, because here you don’t have any problem to find an English speaking moderator. Please wait some days. The o2 moderator will write in this thread and make an offer to you.
Two important information for you. If you make an upgrade, you get to 99.9% a new username/password for DSL and new password for SIP (phone) Second thing is that in some days the new Firmware 7.20 for your Fritzbox 7490 will released. With this you can get a English system language menu.
thank you for your interest in upgrading your DSL contract to a higher speed :-)
We can send you an offer for a contract extension with the o2 my Home L tariff, please make sure that the email address that you entred for contact is still vaild and verified. As soon as you have checked this, please get back in touch with us in this thread so we can send you an offer via email :-)
Regards,
Lars
Hey @o2_Lars,
I’ve double checked email address and verified it. Please send me the offer :)

Hi @public_nickname,
I just wanted to check if everything went smoothly with the tariff-change of your DSL-contract into the tariff “o2 my Home L”?
I hope you are happy with your new DSL-tariff.

Additionally, you find here some good suggestions for our community: https://g.o2.de/willkommen Unfortunately, all in German. I hope you cope with the German language.

Hi @o2_Tobias,
yes, all worked nicely. Internet stopped working pretty much exactly at midnight, I then entered new DSL credentials and it was back online. Funny though that about half hour later it stopped working again and DSL credenitals were changed to some “dsltest” user. I suppose that it is technically possible to change it remotely from your side? Anyway, I then entered the new credentials again and it works since then.
Speed is also as advertised (via cable).
Now I am just waiting for next invoice to confirm that it was 100% success .
Thank you for your help!
