o2 internet dsl activation


Hello,

So today I have my appointment with the technician sadly he doesn't speak english but what I understood from him is that the dsl cable in my apartment is kaputt because it keeps beeping for him but when he checked the basement it is not beeping there, what can I do in this case ? Also I haven't received order confirmation email today

He is responsible for this connection.

To repair the connection from the APL (Telekom connection in the basement) to the phone socket in your flat.

Hello @schluej , it seems that this problem will take a long time to fix , because my landlord said that it's telekom problem and not his problem,

Will I pay for the internet in this period where I'm not using it?

If so what can I do in this case ?

as long as the connection itself wasn’t activated, you also won’t be billed for it and according to what you said, the line wasn’t activated and you’ve not received any confirmation for this either.

Hello @o2_Sven , is the activation confirmation is sent by email ? If so I didn't receive it, I thought it was sent to my old apartment.

The only thing to do here is to convince my landlord to fix the dsl cable and nothing else?

 

Also, can you check what the technician written in his report? Because he was speaking German maybe I missed something from him,

the connection will only be activated once the line has been repaired. Until then, no costs will be charged

The technician basically wrote exactly what you had already told us and what schluej had written. The line in the house needs to be repaired or reinstalled, and there is no TAE socket to which the router can be connected.

In this case, the landlord is responsible and must cover the costs. If desired, we can arrange for a specialist company through Deutsche Telekom to carry out the job; alternatively, your landlord can also commission an electrician of his or her choice.

If there are problems with the landlord, we can alternatively offer a switch to another technology, e.g. to a cable connection (via the cable TV connection). It should perhaps be clarified in advance whether this line is intact.

Today the electrician came and he fixed the dsl cable which wasn't connected correctly.

The problem is that the dsl light in the router is not light or blinking , is that still a problem ? Or I should wait for the appointment with the telekom technician?

please wait for the appointment with the technician. They should activate the connection so that you can then use the internet.
