Late Port In with Wechselbonus

I am a Postpaid customer and have a contract with Drillisch Online GmbH (Winsim). However I want to move to O2 and have already applied for a new contract and received the SIM card at my home yesterday. I want to bring my number with me(Port out) from Winsim to O2 to get the Wechselbonus. I have already terminated my contract but as it has 3 months of notice period, my number will be released on January first week. Is there an option to not activate the O2 SIM and wait till January to activate? Or if I have to activate the O2 SIM now, can I bring my number with me in January without adversely impacting my wechselbonus. What will be my number till January then? Or is there a requirement that I need to get the number an early release from Drillisch for me to get the Wechselbonus?

welcome to our o2 Community 😀
To get the “Wechselbonus” the following points must be fulfilled: 
- the new contract must be concluded with us during the campaign period
- the number transfer must take place within 4 weeks after the conclusion of the contract. 
- the contract with the previous provider must be at least three months old 
- the new contract must have a term of 24 months
If you would like to receive the switching bonus, you would have to request a release for the phone number from the old provider and initiate the transfer directly with us online (after the card has been activated by us and you have registered online). 
Unfortunately, it is not possible to activate your contract with us at a later date.
