How long will it takes for cancellation the of my O2 contract?


Hi O2 community,

I had made a contract from O2 last 26.11.21 and it took along time before they send me the activated simcard and then came my DSL contract faster than the contract I made from O2. So, It‘s no used anymore to have O2 free Unlimited basic contract 29.99€ Monthly, becaused i am not using it anymore so I decided 08.12.21 to terminate my active plan and yesterday I have called O2 team that handles the termiantion which i received from the email about my cancellation and to strengthen my termination. The customer service took my bank account and then process it. My question now is, how would i know if my contract has been already terminated? I didn‘t received any email or confirmation right after I talked to the O2 termination team. It‘s not clear to me if it was cancelled or not. Please help me, guide me what to do next.

I have again checked the status of your complaint. Your contract will be deactivated by tomorrow and all charges will be reimbursed.

A confirmaton was sent to you via email. Have you already received it?

How did you cancel the contract? By email to widerruf@cc.o2online.de? It can take a couple if weeks but you should have received an automatic confirmation of receipt.

Hi,

I have cancelled via My O2 app and then there‘s a prompt after the cancellation, a number to call 040519006642, prompt says if i understand it cprrectly „ You have 10 days to call for cancellation“ I called the number yesterday to stregthen my will of cancellation. The customer rep. took my 4 digit Iban number and was hoping that was really the termination of it but im still not so sure since i haven‘t receipt any email about it. My problem also is that the customer rep i talk with speaks so fast German, I can understand some part of what he is saying but not everything. :( I ask him at the end if my contract is already cancelled he replied „Ja“ waiting for Bestätigung something.

That is not cancellation (possible within the first 14 days) but termination to the end of the contract term. Is it a Flex contract that can be terminated monthly? If not then the contract will run for 24 months.

It‘s not a flex contract brother as far as i know but i am not really sure because it my first time to have a Sim contract with O2. What should i do next bro I think its not yet 14 days that I have used the simcard.

Send an email to widerruf@cc.o2online.de requesting cancellation to be sure.

I did already send an email and also i called this morning the English Customer service and they said my cancellation was approved already and deaktivation is on process and she said it will take days or a week. I am now at peace knowing that they cancelled my contract and is on process. Anyway, they won‘t loss that match from me because I have ongoing tablet and cellphone plan from me. ;)

Hi @o2_Kurt,

I am not sure yet bro if it is already cancelled becaused i am still waiting for an email/letter/message confirmation regarding my plan cancellation. Nothing is sure yet until I receive the notice from O2 that my plan is cancelled. Because I heard and read in the internet that sometimes they don‘t cancel contract, and you‘ll get shocked you still pay monthly, but i don‘t know if that is true or not. We will see for sure.

I followed your suggestion and widerruf@cc.o2online.de already replied that they cancelled my sim contract but i checked today in O2 english costumer support and told me that the contract had not been cancelled. It is so weird that there is a miscommunication problem between O2 customer support it seems like they don’t know about my concern yet or the history of my case. The support i talked today said different things about my case, and told me to write a letter and address to O2 Nürnberg. I’m hella confused today because I had my contract cancelled in 08.12.21 via my o2 app, and tendered it via cancellation department number they suggested me. What is wrong with O2????!!
