Dear o2 Team,
I had the following issues with my LTE o2 contract:
- When ordering, the speed stated at my address was up to 50mbit, this is completely wrong, I have 2 bars of LTE signal and download speeds of between 0.09mbit with occasional 1.6mbit. The mobile mast is only 200 meters away up a hill. I put the SIM in to my iPhone and wandered up to the mast, 3 bars reception and still very very very bad unreliable speed. I put in my Telekom SIM in to both my iPhone and LTE router (the recommended FritzBox model) and can achieve download speeds of up to 30mbit with ease.
- I have worked in the field of IT and Communications since 1998, so I know what I’m doing.
- I constantly tried to call o2 support and finally after the 6th call, I got through to someone who mentioned I should email what I have written above to impressum.cc.o2.de which is an address that eventually fails after Gmail tries several times to deliver the message. Average time for even an attempted pickup (before I get hung up on normally) is around 47 minutes.
- When I log in to the o2 site, every time I click on “My o2”, I get logged out, so I can’t check any of my bills or anything else, not even my personal data.
- On IOS 14 on an iPhone X, the My o2 app won’t log in (error -1) and I have tried reloading, side-loading and cannot log in to this app. I even tried 2 o2 SIM cards just in case, and it simply does not work.
- As I realise, the two week period is over, but you also cannot supply anywhere near the speed of even 2mbit in my location.
- The nearest tower is namedly Wilkommen in Jesberg, 36432.
- There is no way I’m paying that amount of money that can’t even stream Netflix for more than 2 minutes without having to load again for another 30 seconds - 1 minute.
Please don’t even recommend an LTE booster (I already had a 21db booster up on the roof for a tower that is only 200 metres away and in clear sight!).
Please please please please cancel my contract, all I can do is stream radio through it, and even that pauses/disconnects every few minutes. I can replicate the same problems standing under the mast with the LTE SIM in my iPhone and also with my other o2 SIM.
Regards,
Barry ...
