I currently live in Germany, but I don't want to have internet or be charged for a landline. I don't have it. I only have mobile internet and don't need a landline, so I want a refund for the 50 euros that weren't charged.

Did you know that if a client is dissatisfied with your services and isn't satisfied with them, they have the right to terminate the contract. This is completely normal and legal.

Really? Which law did you find that in? In German that is called “Wunschdenken” (wishful thinking).

Sorry, but you keep changing your story and I think you are just trying to get out of a contract you have decided you don’t want or need anymore. One minute you are talking about not being happy with roaming, the next you are telling us you are leaving the country (which would be a reason to terminate the contract) and now you just don’t need the contract. No offence, but how do you expect people to take you seriously?

Hi @Alina Kokosha

I understand that this situation is frustrating for you, and I’m sorry that it has caused stress. However, I do want to clarify a few important points so we can stay on the same page.

When you sign a 24-month contract, it remains valid until the minimum term ends — regardless of whether you continue using the service or not. Simply deciding that you no longer need the landline unfortunately is not a legal reason to terminate the contract early.

You mentioned different situations (first living abroad, then still living in Germany, then dissatisfaction with roaming, and now not needing the connection anymore). Please understand that, legally, only very specific reasons allow an early cancellation — for example, a move abroad, and even then only with official documentation (deregistration from Germany and the completed special cancellation form).

Without these documents, the contract cannot be ended early.
This is not an o2-specific rule — it is standard contract law in Germany.

Regarding the recent invoice:
As long as the contract is active, the charges are correct and valid. A refund cannot be issued simply because the service is no longer needed.

If you do in fact live abroad, then please submit the required documents (proof of deregistration + the special cancellation form) through the contact form. If not, then the contract will continue normally until the end of the agreed term.

I hope this helps clarify the situation — and if you have questions about the special cancellation process or need help with the form, I’m here to support you.😌

Kind regards,
Senay
