Cancel the O2 contract

I had ordered a Mobile from Sphathandy with O2 contract on 16.12.2024. Since I was not interested any more with the spharhandy products, I cancelled the order on 20.12.2024 and returned the phone and SIM on the next day itself(Phone unused and SIM unopened and unused). I personally raised O2 cancellation request online in O2 website on  21.12.2024 and I got the cancellation request receipt from O2. Unfortunately I received a post by O2 dated on 25.12.2024 stating that the contract is cancelled but the contract end date is 15.12.2026(which is actually the 24 month term). Why is so? Since I signed the contract online, I should be having the privilege to cancel the contract in 14 days right? Please help me to cancel the contract from your end as I don’t want to pay monthly installments unnecessarily. 

I had a call with Customer care today and they told me that the option i selected while creating the cancel of contract was wrong(I selected Regular but i should have selected ExtraOrdinary) and requested me to raise another cancellation request. I raised it but i am worried as i crossed 14 days, will this new request be considered? Can you please help me to cancel the contract immediately. I dont use the SIM and services(I never used it).

I could check your cancellation, Sparhandy reported the cancellation of your mobile contract to us and your contract has been cancelled and costs are reimbursed 🙂

If you have revoked Sparhandy, processing will take longer. The costs will then be reimbursed.

I got a letter from O2 stating that the contract is cancelled but the date of cancellation is on 2026. I don’t use the SIM as I cancelled the Spharhandy order and returned the SIM and phone.

 

i had a call with customer support agent and he informed me this happened as I selected the option “Regular “ while placing the cancellation request which I was unaware. He asked to place another request selecting the option “Extraordinary “ and I have done that. Posting the matter here as I can explain the situation here. If any O2 employee reads this message please help me to cancel the contract immediately as I don’t use the service(I never used it). Please message me if any other information is needed. Thanks in advance.
