Hello, 

I moved out from my flat, and I was using the O2 Kabel connection. In my new apartment, there is an infrastructure for glassfiber with only one provider because they build the whole system in the new building. In your hotline, one of your colleagues told me it is possible to transfer the internet but our hausmeister told us that only certain provider can be used which is not O2. They told us according to Telekommunikationsgesetz 46, even though we have a contract with you, we can cancel it without any penalty. Please see below for the German statement in the Telekommunikationsgesetz: “ Wird die Leistung am neuen Wohnsitz nicht angeboten, ist der Verbraucher zur Kündigung des Vertrages unter Einhaltung einer Kündigungsfrist von drei Monaten zum Ende eines Kalendermonats berechtigt.”. That’s why we would like to cancel our contract with you. Could you help us with this process?

You can hand in a cancellation request online including for the direct termination in special cases. The important part here is that you also provide the necessary documentation about your new home address and the deregistration at your old one. If you have any further questions, please let us know.
