I have no internet access, nor can I access o2.spot or the IP Address to see the connection issue.

we have called o2 a number of times earlier this year and again the past couple of weeks. We were aided fantastically by a gentleman on the phone who told us to swap the sim into a phone and try something out that way, and once we put it back our internet worked again, but a week later it is back to crashing multiple times a day and now has not worked again for two days. First two lights are blue, third blank, next two blue, last orange/white.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated. 
We are seriously considering canceling our o2 subscription at this point.

I cannot view your data at the moment, because your community account is not linked to any phone number.
Therefore I can't check what the colleague from the hotline did with you back then. But I assume that by changing the SIM card to a cell phone, he switched off the PIN request with you, so that you don't have to enter it again and again when you restart your home spot. By the firmware update at the beginning of the month this request was probably reactivated.
Have you ever tried to restart the device?
