Hi all,

I have O2 Homespot Internet. it worked ok at the beginning. But for a month the service has been very slow. Speed of today 0.25 Mbps download and 6.42 Mbps upload. So, very trashy. My 24 months contract ended on the 27 of July 2025. So I want to cancel the service. I read that I can send a letter to the address below, and I can return the device on the return portal https://router-retoure.o2online.de/start/app/dashboard.

I would like to know if it is possible to cancel in a store or it needs to be by post? if so, is still correct the address below. Last but no least, I know I need to cancel in a month in advance. When is the soonest I can finish my contract, August or September? Thanks in advance.

You don't need to send a letter. You can simply cancel online.

As the notice period is one month, the cancellation will only take effect one month after o2 receives your cancellation request. If you submit your cancellation to o2 on 5 August 2025, it will take effect one month later, i.e. on 5 September 2025.
