Vertragskündigung


I moved to another country in March 2019 and contacted O2 by e-mail in January 2019 to terminate my O2 contract. However, O2 still pays me until now confirming my current address in April 2019. Please contact me via email.

I checked this matter for you. Unfortunately something went wrong while deactivating your contract. I apologize for that. So right now your contract is finished and I credited the outstanding amount. Your account is balanced.

Ich bin im März 2019 in ein anderes Land gezogen und habe mich im Januar 2019 per E-Mail an O2 gewandt, um meinen O2-Vertrag zu kündigen. O2 zahlt mir jedoch bis jetzt die Bestätigung meiner aktuellen Adresse im April 2019. Bitte kontaktieren Sie mich per E-Mail.

How did you contact o2?
You cannot contact the customer service by email.

If you want to cancel the contract earlier, you should use following form:

I mailed the form to O2 in January 2019 (I have the mail copy). O2 sent me a follow up mail to proof my new address is outside Germany. However, after I sent my overseas address to O2, O2 still charging me till now and my bank account is already closed. What can I do if I already mailed to O2? Any O2 staff could contact me to follow up with this by email?

Did you send all the required documents (in particular the Abmeldebestätigung)?
I sent all required documents to O2. My wife and I did the same thing together. My wife did not received new bill from O2 anymore. However, my case has not processed by O2 till today. I hope there will be a solution to terminate contract because I sent all documents to O2 and O2 did not processed my termination.
Dear O2 customer service,

I have sent the filled forms including moving aboard proof by mail early 2019. My wife and I have sent all documents together and O2 only processed my wife's termination. Obviously this is a mistake from O2 missed my termination application.

I wish any customer service see this and contact me or process my contract termination immediately.

Dear Manga,

Ask I mentioned earlier, my bank German bank account already closed. For the overcharged balance, I request O2 to credit back to my overseas account or credit card due to O2 wrongly process my account termination.

there is nor refund to transfer because you had an open amount. We tried to deduct the basic charge once but there was a returned direct debit in fact you already closed your bank account. So the following month were summed up. Usually you have to transfer the outstanding charges by yourself. But I credited everything so there is nothing left to pay. Your account is balanced.

Dear Manga,

First of all, this is an O2's fault to "overcharged" my account as I followed the normal procedure to terminate my account due to moving abroad. I submitted all requested documents on time and no follow up procedure was done by O2.

I cannot accept O2 "overcharged" me because O2's mistake and there is no legal ground for O2 to charge me.

Please contact your account department to credit back to my overseas for the amount overcharged.
