very weak Internet signal


I’ve been a customer for long time but the more I’m getting longer to be your customer the worser your internet signal getting is. I don’t understand why is everytime my Internet signal very bad. I’ve already have this problem for long time and everytime I will ask, says there’s no problem. I’ve been using O2 max unlimited but I cannot even use simple apps like Facebook and messenger. 😞 Especially if my window is closed then totally catastrophic. I already tried the live check and tried to report the problem (create a report). It says everything is fine and working but in fact it’s not for me. I don’t think the building where i live is also the problem because before i don’t have any problem on this and i asked my neighbor who’s also on the same building now that she doesn’t have any problems. I’ve been paying on the right time and even higher now because customer service said that it will boost the speed  but it’s not fair that I’m having problems everytime. It’s not also the problem on my phone as I’m using a new latest phone. Internet is important for me as I need to contact my family on the other country but everytime call is very bad or dropping.  I hope you could do something about this.  It’s very sad to go but if i have no choice i need to leave because it’s already causing me a lot of stress, anxiety and mental exhaustion which is really bad for me and it’s not gonna be my fault, it’s because the service is very bad. I don’t want this problem to consume me and my mental health.

I can understand that it is really annoying when the service you want and need is not, or only partially, available. 

Do you always have this challenge at a certain address or regardless of location? In case it is always at one address, please tell us the postcode and a side street. 

Which mobile phone do you use and what kind of sim card (plastic or eSim)? 

You wrote that others in the house do not have these challenges. Do they also use the o2 network?

thank you for your response, i highly appreciate it. I experience it also outside, but more often inside my apartment especially if my window is closed than i really cannot use facebook and messenger because the signal was too weak and oftentimes the voice- or videocall would be dropped😞 My location is  53115 Bonn and direct facing the side of the street where the main train station is.

I’m using Iphone (12 pro) and my sim card is the normal simcard (i actually don’t have idea between the difference of plastic or Esim) but i think it’s plastic? The normal sim inserted on the simcard slot of the phone (micro simcard for my phone).

Yes they also have the same network and same package as me (O2 unlimited max).

I am able to see that our network departement opened allready a ticket to solve the issues so they will inform you via SMS  about the results.
Which network modus have you allready tested? 4G/LTE as well? Or only 5G?

I also already tested LTE is also the same.

ah yes, but they said for now  they cannot lift the issue yet. They will message me. But hopefully soon, otherwise I’m gonna pay again this month but with the bad service again 😓

at the moment honestly yes. 😕

There are a few stations with technical issues and this creates a bottleneck regarding the coverage for other stations who are still working in your area - mostly LTE.

Within the next 1 to 2 days there will be more maintenance works on some stations, which maybe will improve the current situation, fingers crossed. 😉

Important is to restart (or switching to airplane mode forth and back) the smartphone from time to time after maintenance.

thank you for your attention and assistance to me. so as i’ve observed is atleast a little bit better, i have a little signal now when my window is closed, but still it’s so weak that it takes long time to load apps😓 hope it will be more improved to the maximal as i have before when I started with 02..i already tried restarting my phone and putting it to airplane mode..

Hello, 

i wasn’t really able to test my connectivity today because I’m still at work. But i can say for the past weeks it became much much better than before. Although sometimes there are still few lapses on my connectivity like for example signal getting weak in the middle of videocalls or game. My question is, are all the works on network stations finished? And does the connection can be affected by the train station? Because my window directly faces the train station. Could there be any more ways to optimise my signal?

@Girlyv.2.2 thanks for your quick answer. 
The ticket for 5G Connectivity is still in progress. We haven´t heard any news, sorry. But the general performance should be fine. 
The trainstation could be an obstacle and can have influence to a network, depending on the whole traffic.
You can try to switch between 5G and 4G, sometimes using 4g/lte could be better, it depends on how many user are attending at the same time.
