Unwanted Mobile Insurance Activation Telefonica

So I bought an Apple Iphone 16 pro in December 2024 from O2 for a 2 years plan. I didn’t sign up for any premium mobile phone insurance, but now I am getting letters from Telefonica, and they are asking for the mobile phone insurance I didn’t sign up for. I am already paying the monthly cost of the phone, so why is this happening can someone please explain?

that sounds strange. Are you already paying for the insurance? Or are the letters maybe just ads that you are receiving? Can you see the cost, when you look up your invoice in Mein O₂

In order to help you with that in our community, we would need you to register with an account, that is connected to your mobile contract, otherwise we cannot look into your data to confirm what is going on. 

Another way to go would be to ask our english hotline, they can help you aswell. If you call them, make sure to have your PKK (personal customer number) with you, to authenticate yourself. 😊

Unfortunately, I do not have access to your data as you are registered here with an interested party login. 
You must have received an e-mail about the conclusion of the cell phone insurance. 
You could have canceled the cell phone insurance within 14 days.

I didn’t receive any email or any login details because they didn’t ask for my email when I purchased (27th December) the phone at the store, they only asked for my phone number and address and of course bank details. I also didn’t receive any phone call for this. My phone number is XXXXX, and the last four digits of the IMEI of the phone are 3984. Also, initially, when O2 sent a confirmation document where the reference number XXXXXX was written, in that document, they also didn’t mention any premium insurance, so how come they signed up for insurance I didn’t ask for. Furthermore, the insurance number for Telefonica is XXXXXX I also emailed hv@telefonicainsurance.de

but have got no response from them.

Please help me out as I never received any info from O2 and I didn’t accept any insurance
