As an extension to the translation on the topic of “Discounts and offers”, here is an explanation of one of o2's most important offers: the partner card.

As the best way to save money on mobile rates, there is the concept of the partner card at o2. A partner card, as the name suggests, can be used by your partner. Or also by other family members or friends.

The partner card

The partner card is an additional mobile contract that you can take out in addition to your existing contract. Sometimes this fact leads to some confusion. A partner tariff is a second tariff and cannot be used as a "first tariff", i.e. without an additional one.
By adding the second tariff, a combination discount can be used by combining the partner card with the main card (if the contracts are entitled to get the combination discounts in the combination).
If the conditions apply, you can save up to 50% of the monthly basic fee per partner card with a new contract or a contract extension by using the combination discount.

The important thing about the partner tariff is that both tariffs are concluded by one contractual partner and run under one customer number. If two people each conclude a contract individually, then it is not possible to combine the contracts.

At the same time, the combinations always have a main tariff with which other tariffs can be combined. If the main rate is canceled or expires at some point, the combination discounts of the second contract also expire automatically.

Here you can find the combi-discount calculator: Click.

The landing page is only available in German language only.

To get into detail and to check which combination you would like to use and to see which discounts will be valid for you you can contact us in the English community to clarify your concern.

There is also the possibility to combine already existing contracts of two different people. If you and another person are already using one contract each, but you would like to use the combination discount, one of you can take over the other contract. As soon as this has happened and the contracts are approved for renewal, the conditions can be adjusted and taken into account accordingly. Of course, it is important that the contract transfer is completed before the contract renewal. How to take over a contract is explained here:

Remember: Once the contract is taken over by one person and both are combined under one contract partner, both contracts are debited together from one account.

Hi @protonandy

welcome to our English Community.

Nice that you are interested in a partnercard.

To answer your question: Yes, the partnercard with the combination discount has a seperate mobile phone number.

If you wish to have an additional sim-card for the same number, just have a look here: multicard

If you would like to get an offer for a partnercard, just let us know. We are happy to help you.

Loving greetings,

Tobias
