Taking out a new contract and device... online only?

Hi there! Does anyone know if I can go into the actual store and take out a contract and phone there? And if so, what documentation I would need to take with me? I would prefer this than online, because I have had a very bad experience with WinSim, where they did not deliver the phone, but other products, don’t fix the issue and it will just be better to go in and do it all at once.

Of course you can go to a store and take out a contract there and buy a cell phone. 
You will need an identity card or passport to prove your identity.
