This is not from o2, you can recognise it by the strange url - and because the of text that doesn’t make sense and contains misspelling.

It is advisable to activate the SPAM filter of your SMS app - oh wait, Apple doesn’t care about scammers 🤔

It’s ok. I know the scumbag. He works for O2.

Hello @SomeUser ,

welcome to the o2 Community 💙.

That’s a phishing SMS which you can safely ignore and delete.

Kind regards, Sven

OMG, I forgot this forum. Dude, it’s embarrassing to believe that Android has any protection. Good luck with all the scammers!

@SomeUser nothin to do with android.. those sms were sendet to Apple devices, too

Apple users are generally the ones who believe their devices are not susceptible to viruses, malware, Spam, Phishing, scammers, etc.

No matter what brand of device is used, the target of a phishing attack is always the user itself, since they need to get active in these cases. Being careful on that end is by far the most effective defense.

Kind regards, Sven

Dude, believe it or not, Google Messages has an integrated SPAM filter that works pretty well.

According to Google Support Google Messages indeed has an integrated SPAM filter.

Best Regards,

Gerrit
