Prepaid recharge

So I started my prepaid 1 month ago and today it ends. I would like to recharge it. Is it possible through online?

You can do it on Mein o2, in your German online banking, via bank transfer (won’t arrive in time) or at prelado.de (reliable 3rd party service without surcharge).

Thanks for the link. Is there any website I can check what each price listed on 3rd party includes? (such as GB of data?)

Here you will find helpful informations: https://hilfe.o2online.de/english-o2-community-mobile-43/top-up-options-for-prepaid-457857

edit:

The prices for the packs can be found in Mein o2 / Mein o2 App. Top up your credit is something else. You only get a Vochercode through third-party providers or petrol stations so that you can top up your credit.

Thats top up credit, if your balance is enough your previous bundle will auto-renew unless you change it online or in the Mein o2.

Oh can you clarify the definition of credit. So the credit I recharge in post office or paypal through website or 3rd party are same right? Also do I use that credit to buy data? Lastly, I bought prepiad 1 month ago and it ended yesterday. Does my number still stay alive for receiving a call? If it does, can I make a call as well? or is it only available to receive a call?

You could easily buy a top-up code at a gas station, grocery, etc.
Credit is credit, no matter how it is topped up. PayPal, credit card makes no difference.
Whether you charge € 15 with the o2 my Prepaid S or € 50 makes no difference. It is important that the credit is sufficient for the booking or automatic renewal. You can use the rest of the credit for other things or - should it be sufficient - have the booked pack automatically extended after 28 days.

If no option is booked or an option cannot be extended, then you use the o2 Loop basic tariff: 9 cents per minute or SMS and connects your smartphone to the Internet, then 99 cents / 30 MB / calendar day.
With each top-up, a new usage period of your credit begins for 6 months. The old credit and the loaded credit are added. If you do not recharge after 6 months, you can still be called for a while, but you can no longer use your credit (until you top up again)
As long as o2 the prepaid card is not canceled (this only happens if the credit is not topped up for a long time), you can use the mobile phone number.

You can also switch the option. For example from o2 my Prepaid S to o2 my Prepaid L or Data Pack XL.

You must also note the following: If the credit for the automatic renewal is not sufficient, then the pack is paused. If the credit is sufficient to extend the option after a top-up, the option is automatically reactivated. Many users make the mistake of thinking that the option has to be booked again, but instead of booking, the user cancels the option.

Hi @District9,

thanks for your message concerning the top-up of a pack.

I hope the suggestions given were already helpful for you.

As I see you have already used a voucher and ordered the pack “o2 my Prepaid S”.

I therefore suppose that your issue is already clarified.

If you have any further questions, just feel free to contact our English community.

By the way, please do not open different messages for the same issue. I will therefore not respond to the message under the following link: https://hilfe.o2online.de/english-o2-community-mobile-43/trying-to-solve-issue-with-prepaid-527672

Loving greetings,

Tobias

Hallo, I would like to top up my prepaid O2, but I cannot do it. My number is +49176xxxxx589. I am in Indonesia since September 2019, but I hold a German bank account. I tried topping up the credit in September 2019 via bank transfer, but the credit was back to my bank account.

How can I top up my prepaid number via Paypal or bank transfer? For your info, I cannot send any message to 73737, and 56656. Please help me. Thanks

Hello, I have around € 8 balance in my O2 account and want to continue my prepaid S (€ 9.99 per month) pack only for 1 more month (I’ll be going back to my home country exactly one month later). Minimum option of Guthaben cards is € 15. My bank is also giving me the same minimum option. Is there a way to load a lower amount? Thanks in advance!

Hi @Psaero,
welcome to our community. You can easily top up your prepaid credit with your desired amount via ATM (participating banks are Volks- und Raiffeisenbanken, Sparkassen, Postbank):
You go to an ATM of your bank and select in the display "top up mobile" and select the brand o2. Then enter your phone number twice and select the desired top-up amount. Finally, you will receive a confirmation and find the debit on your bank account. Shortly after that, you will see the credit on your prepaid phone number.

Alternatively, you can also pay the top-up amount in cash at the post office counter.

Did this help you?

Kind regards
Larissa
