Prepaid O2 Sim not delivered

Hello,

I speak English, so I hope it’s okay to write in English.

I recently ordered a new prepaid SIM (monthly cancellable) from O₂. I received an email saying that the SIM card was handed over to the post about a week ago, but I still haven’t received it.

I realized that I missed the building number in my address when placing the order. There is also no tracking ID, so I cannot check where the shipment is.

Could you please advise:

What should I do in this situation?

How long should I wait before requesting a resend?

Is it possible to update or correct my address now?

I am an international student, and I urgently need a German phone number, so any support would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance!

Shipping can take up to two weeks, regardless of whether the house number is missing. Is this for a free gift card? If so, simply order a new one. The current order can no longer be processed.

Hello @Nitty 🙂

Great that you've contacted us about your SIM card. Welcome to our community

It's unfortunate that the house number is missing, but unfortunately it can't be changed retrospectively. Have you received your prepaid card in the meantime or ordered a new one, as suggested by Bumer?

Hello @o2_Kathi !!

Hi, I ordered a replacement prepaid SIM because the original one was marked as lost. But now both SIM cards have arrived. Can you confirm which one I should activate and please deactivate the other one?
thank you for your help :)

The best thing to do is just try it out. One of them will work.

Hello @Bumer !

It says that the sim will automatically activate within the next 14 days. With both , if I activate one on my own , will the other get activated as well ?
I am apprehensive as I have given my bank info for both , will it result in a transaction on its own ?

thanks again !

No, if you only activate one, the other will not be activated as well.

@Nitty

a prepaid card has to be registrated so you can decide which one you will use.

There is no need to be afraid of having two SIM Cards.

Greetings

Hi @o2_Manga !

I have run into bit of an issue.  I activated one SIM card and put it in my phone but it did not work at all and was not able to unlock it and since I was in a sticky situation without any wifi and had to rely on data , I used the other sim which worked perfectly and activated it.

So now unfortunately , I have two activated sims.
I have submitted a request online through the portal to deactivate the other prepaid number but I have not heard back still and I am scared that the money for it would get cut out of my account.

one more weird thing , I am very new much new to Germany , but when I activated it did not ask for any identification and I am not sure what I should do about it . My other sim is activated and I am currently using it.
can you please help me ?

thank you very much for your help

The other prepaid card will be deactivated shortly. There will be no subsequent identification.
