I would like to port my number from O2 to another provider, how can I do the procedure?

I was on a prepaid plan. and my phone number is 0176374XXXX93

Hello, I want to port my number to a different provider and that provider is telling me to cantact my current provider that is o2 and have them realease my number, I have a prepaid sim and don't know German so I can't understand the hotline either, what do I do.
