Hello @BalajiRao, 🙂

even if it is difficult to understand, everything is correct, except your cancellation. Since I have explained everything about this, I'd like to ask you: Do you have any remaining question, we haven't talket about yet?

Kind regards, Maren 🌼

The point is, a customer care representative called me multiple times in the last week of June 2024 to say that my contract was about to expire. I got the O2 connection in June 2021, so it’s been 3 years by June 2024.

Except for lawyers, it seems you can make a fool out of anyone with your clauses, including Albert Einstein. Is that what you’re aiming for?

Anyway, I will warn my friends in Germany who have an O2 connection. I’ll share this forum link with them so they can avoid unnecessary billing.

Hi @BalajiRao, 🙂
as you say, you were offered a contract renewal, these colleagues do not and are not allowed to enter cancellations. Expiration means the minimum contract period, i.e. after 24 months a contract can be cancelled monthly and must then be actively cancelled, otherwise it will continue to run. There is no error here either. This does not change the fact that your cancellation was incorrect and therefore the contract was not cancelled.
Kind regards, Maren 🌼

The link is from the Federal Network Agency and legally regulates the contract term and termination periods for ALL mobile phone providers in Germany!

They are therefore legal requirements for everyone who signs a mobile phone contract in Germany. Unfortunately, you obviously don't understand that. I'm sorry for you.

But then you shouldn't sign contracts if you don't understand them, don't you think?

Pretty impressive point:

That's the sweet spot where multi-billion dollar companies say, "Hey, let's turn this pile of money into an even bigger pile of money!"

Who said the world is bad? Please explain which statement gave that impression. I am a strong believer that every day is a good day. I am enjoying every moment of my life. Today I learn something new :)

Before the regulation, the contract had to be terminated 3 months before the end of the contract, if you didn't do that, the contract was extended for 1 year.

I would say that the current rule is pretty fair for the customer.

And if you don't like the laws in Germany, that's not our problem.

Don’t side line the topic, No where I didn’t mention I don’t like the laws in Germany. Not only Germany, I don’t even poke my nose in to any country law. We have to be abiding laws of respective country. You are going some where else come back. Go to the bed have a tight sleep.

Chill bro! I think you're trying to steer the conversation towards sensitive topics. Don't sidetrack the issue. I don't interfere in any country's laws. We should abide by the laws of our respective countries. Take a chill pill! 😂🤣

@schluej I don’t need any support from my colleagues, friends, or relatives. Just call me Lion—I’ve got this jungle covered solo. Rawr! 😂🤣

@bs0 instead of giving me a lecture, you should give @schluej , a tutoring session. He’s the one spilling my personal data, like my company name. Get him a muzzle!

Moral of the story: when money's involved, everyone turns into the same greedy goblin. Doesn't matter if you're from a skyscraper or a mud hut, wearing a suit or a loincloth—we're all in the same leaky boat. 😂🤣 And let’s be honest, the corporates are rowing with pitchforks and dollar signs in their eyes! 🤑

O2 must adhere to the legal requirements.
I have already sent you a link to what the legislator stipulates.
The requirements from the bundesnetzagentur are:

Contract term
The initial term of a contract must not exceed 24 months. Furthermore, providers are also obliged to offer a contract with a maximum term of twelve months before the contract is concluded.
You can terminate a contract that has been tacitly extended after the minimum term has expired at any time with one month's notice. This also applies to contracts concluded before December 1, 2021 if the minimum contract term has already expired. The provider may then not charge you any further costs. The only exception: the replacement value for end devices that you keep."

O2 must adhere to the legislator's requirements here. The fact that you don't like the law is definitely not O2's fault.
Perhaps the kitten got lost in the jungle.🤣

Good morning @BalajiRao, 🙂

I understand that you are upset that your contract has not yet been cancelled. I would like to remind you that this is because your cancellation was incorrect. We immediately sent you an enquiry about this, but have not received a reply. The contract is therefore still in force. An acknowledgement of receipt of a cancellation is not an acceptance of the cancellation. It only confirms receipt of the incorrect cancellation, not the cancellation itself. Everything is correct and no one here is interested in taking unfair advantage.

In fact, I immediately entered your cancellation to help you, as I understand that language can be a barrier and you assumed you had cancelled correctly.

However, the way you are behaving towards other forum members is not very pleasant. I would like to draw your attention to our "Community Guidelines - Our Netiquette in the O₂ Community". Polite and respectful behaviour is important to us.

Kind regards, Maren 🌼

I clearly mentioned that I didn’t receive any message from you. Please avoid maintaining double standards and read their comments as well. I am encountering them, and it is my right to defend myself.

My mobile connection is already disconnected, so I can’t receive the OTP to log in. Is there any solution you can offer?

I think @schluej tried to squeeze more money, but the plan didn’t work out. @o2_Maren spilled some water on @schluej’s plan😂. We need more employees like @o2_Maren —tons of kudos to this person.

Hello @BalajiRao 🙂 .
After so many words, I have now taken the time to look at everything again.
If the cancellation had been successful on 05/07/2024, then the cancellation would have been entered on 14/08/2024! Unfortunately, I have to admit that I made a mistake and assumed that the contract would now run much longer than expected. I cancelled on 4 August 2024, 10 days before the end of the contract. So I am being undercharged here. There will be a follow-up invoice at the end of the month.
Is everything clear now?
Kind regards, Maren 🌼
