Old phone status

Hello, I was checking an offer for SAMSUNG GALAXY S21 with Tablet under change of contract to my existing contract. In this situation what happens to my old S8 phone and will I be charged for both phones?

Did you already check the duration of your old phone. Just have a look here: information at "Mein o2" concerning o2 My Handy

 

If you like to end your o2 My Handy-contract before the normal duration of 24 months, you have the possibility to order the termination with this link: pay-off o2 My Handy You will then be informed about the remaining amount. After the payment of the remaining amount, we will then deactivate your o2 My Handy-contract.

    Thank you for the feedback. Sorry that i respond late. 

    If i buy this option of the tab and samsung phone, do I get a new number alolngwith it?

    Or can i continue to use the same number that i have for a running contract? If i have this option, what happens to the old phone device and its sim card and the running contract?

    Not sure if i am clear in what i need.

    I have a similar question. I was checking the offer on o2 website. Currently they offer new phone with a tab and a tariff contract. I am already an o2 customer with a valid contract. If i close the current contract the renewal of which is due in 5 months, what happens to the old mobile phone device. DO i have to return it back? And would the number also be not usable later?
