What is the o2 Partner Card?

The o2 Partner Card is an additional mobile contract that can be taken out alongside an existing o2 main contract. It allows you to add another tariff for a partner, family member, or friend while benefiting from a combination discount.

Can a Partner Card be used as a standalone contract?

No. A Partner Card cannot be used on its own. It always requires an active o2 main tariff. Without a main tariff, a Partner Card cannot be booked or maintained.

What is the combi discount?

The combi discount is a price reduction applied when a Partner Card is combined with an eligible main tariff.
If all conditions are met, you can save up to 50% on the monthly basic charge per Partner Card, either with a new contract or during a contract extension.

Who can use a Partner Card?

A Partner Card can be used by:

  • Your partner

  • Family members

  • Friends

The important requirement is that all contracts are held by the same contract holder, even if different people use the SIM cards.

Do both contracts need to be under the same customer number?

Yes. Both the main tariff and the Partner Card must be concluded by the same contract holder and managed under one customer number.
Contracts taken out separately by different people cannot be combined for a discount.

What happens if the main tariff is cancelled?

If the main tariff is cancelled or expires, all combi discounts on the Partner Card(s) automatically end. The additional contracts will then continue at their regular, undiscounted price.

Is there always a main tariff in a combination?

Yes. Every combination requires one main tariff. Additional tariffs, such as Partner Cards, are linked to this main tariff and depend on it for the combi discount.

Can existing contracts be combined later?

Yes, under certain conditions.
If two people already have separate o2 contracts and want to benefit from a combi discount, one person can take over the other contract. Once both contracts are under the same contract holder and customer number, a combination may be possible.

When must the contract transfer be completed?

The contract transfer must be completed before the contract renewal. Only then the tariffs and combi discounts can be adjusted accordingly.

Is there a tool to calculate the combi discount?

Yes. You can use the combi discount calculator to check possible savings.
